A cute series of kanzashi to resemble four seasons with the ever so sweet addition of bunnies!
This clip is all about Autumn with red leaves swirling around and two rabbits playing.
The momiji leaves were made following traditional Japanese art called tsumami hana kanzashi. This means that every petal is starched and hand dyed. Each of them is cut out of silk in the square shape, then folded and assembled to form a single petal. I strive to be as accurate to the traditional way of making kanzashi, so I always use habutae silk and rice glue.
